Morey Trupe, co-founder of Journey Financial services, has proudly served the Black Hills area since 2008.
As a business owner, Morey realized that the financial services industry had a great need for client education. In 2008 he sold his other business venture to pursue his passion in financial services. His professional background and no pressure approach have allowed Morey the opportunity to work with his clients in many areas such as investing, tax planning, estate planning, long term care, etc.
Placing client goals at the heart of his work, Morey takes the role of an educator with his clients. Through market analysis and portfolio reviews, he equips his clients with the information they need to make informed decisions, helping them pursue their financial goals with more confidence.
Morey W. Trupe received his Bachelor of Science, Economics and Finance degree from Black Hills State University.
He began his business career by growing a small family business into a multi-million dollar company. After selling this business, Morey transitioned into the financial services career in 2008. In 2019 he chose to partner with Woodbury financial services because of its financial strength. Morey currently holds a Series 7 Securities License, Series 66 Uniform Combined State Law/ Investment Advisory License, and has an insurance license for life, health, and annuities.
Morey is a native to the Black Hills and Rapid City, SD. He enjoys the outdoors; camping, golfing, fishing, hunting, snow sports, and spending time with his family. Morey and his wife Shawn have four children, strengthening their understanding of the stresses of balancing financial goals and the dreams of life.
